How to get to Prangli Island?

There are several ways to visit this beautiful Estonian island when starting in Tallinn. The boats to Prangli Island leave from Leppneeme port, which is a 30-minute drive from Tallinn city centre. You can join a guided Prangli Island Day Trip that starts comfortably in Tallinn. But if you’re more into exploring the island on your own, then here are a few ways to get to Prangli island. From Tallinn to Leppneeme port you can either take a taxi (approx. 15-20 euros one way) or use public transport bus no. 1A and V2. What next?

Official Prangli ferry “Wrangö”

The most common way to get to Prangli Island is to hop on the local ferry called “Wrangö” which operates between the mainland and Prangli all year round.

From April to October the ferry leaves several times a day, while in the wintertime there are less trips. You can check the ferry schedule and buy tickets online here. It’s possible to buy the ticket on the ferry as well but they may be sold out in the summertime. It takes one hour by ferry to get to Kelnase port on Prangli island.

Order a private boat to Prangli island

Speedboat for smaller groups

For a maximum of six people, you are more than welcome to order a speedboat.

  • Transfer from Leppneeme port on the mainland to Prangli or Aksi island (140 euros one way)
  • Transfer from Leppneeme port on the mainland to Keri island (150 euros one way)

On a sailboat to Prangli Island

When going by sailboat then take some time! From Tallinn to Prangli island it takes around four hours. If it’s not very windy be prepared for at least six hours.
